The newish report on improving US science education, "A Framework for K-12 Science Education," has called for putting more time on learning progressions, I am working on new biology textbooks to both foster learning progressions in biology from K through 12 and meet the developing common science standards. I currently use Adobe Acrobat Pro to annotate texts and provide reading assignments with guides throughout the text. The Adobe suite would be a fantastic resource to develop the textbooks I am working on. I also think Adobe itself should be responding to "A Framework ..." and updating its resources in response. I loved Elements for my 8th grade computer class, but we had a very old version and when we updated to Windows 7, it didn't work anymore. I would love the chance to be able to use Elements again and to explore the uses for Premier.
