Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection Is Here!

I am excited to announce the that Adobe has released Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection!!!   It's the latest design suite for creativity and digital innovation. Now, for the first time, CS applications are also available through Adobe Creative Cloud™, giving you the flexibility to download and install them at any time. Plus, access additional applications, publishing services, and new products and features as they are released.

I am especially intrigued with the newest updates of Adobe® InDesign® CS6 software is a versatile desktop publishing application that gives you pixel-perfect control over design and typography. Create elegant and engaging pages for print, tablets, and other screens. Use Adaptive Design Tools to easily repurpose layouts to look great on a variety of pages sizes, orientations, or devices.

The Adobe® InDesign® CS6 will be the application of choice to design the latest K12 Online Conference marketing brochure this yearThis year’s FREE online conference will take place the weeks of Oct 22 – 25 and Oct 29 – Nov. 2, with a pre-conference keynote on October 15th. The 2012 theme is, “Learn, Share, Remix.” Educators and students worldwide are invited to respond to our 2012 call for proposals. Presenters create twenty minute, engaging video presentations shared during our two week conference. Please check out some of last year’s presentations. The organizer team for this year’s conference selected “Learn, Share, Remix” for our theme because it embodies many of the ACTIONS we can model as 21st century teachers and students. We all want to model lifelong learning. Our digital connections afford us amazing opportunities to SHARE what we are learning along the way. REMIXING is the process taking knowledge and using it in creative and innovative ways. Remixers build on the work of others. REMIXING can also include transforming the ways we teach and learn. In each strand of our conference this year, we hope presenters will explore and model ways we can learn, share and remix our professional development.

Did you also know that within the Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection includes Adobe® Flash® Builder® 4.6 Premium software where  you can build Apple iOS, iPhone, iPad and Android apps?   Adobe® Flash® Builder® 4.6 Premium software is an Eclipse™ based development tool for rapidly building standout mobile, web, and desktop applications using ActionScript® and the open source Flex framework. Use professional testing tools to build higher performing applications. I would really like to introduce this application of choice to Middle School and High School students and facilitate, guide and sit back and watch the potential of students creating progressive educational and business apps!

2017 Beginning of the New Year: A Learning Discovery Escapade

The holiday break was very well needed and appreciated, and allowed for me to personally and professionally take a break from my education strategist job and relax with some amazing educational research articles to read- as they have been sitting on the back burner for a few months. Some topics of interest that have caught my interest and full attention is the most recent case studies on our student learning population of Generation Z. Yes, these are the kiddos born from 1995 -2010, and these are the young adults now entering the majestic years of college for the first time or are deeply engaged in a full-time job as their new career.

Did you now that these Gen Z students are completely different than Gen Y? Yet many of our k12 educators, and university professors are still teaching to the knowledge base of Gen Y, and have not caught up to the new learning needs and student interest of this dynamic population. Everything they are learning is through a multi-sensory and multi touch inte…

Smartboard Training at the University Level

This week I will be offering Smartboard trainings to our local universities. I have put together a link list of "adult learner" content sites that professors and instructional trainers can easily use with their college students to enrich their curriculum offerings. This is just a "starter list" and I will continue to add to this list as resources are found and shared from others from around the world. Thanks to my social network of Twitter friends for the development of the Smartboard resources as a true global team!
